90:1لَآ أُقْسِمُ بِهَٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ﴿١﴾

90:2وَأَنتَ حِلٌّۢ بِهَٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ﴿٢﴾

90:5أَيَحْسَبُ أَن لَّن يَقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ أَحَدٌۭ﴿٥﴾

90:6يَقُولُ أَهْلَكْتُ مَالًۭا لُّبَدًا﴿٦﴾
"He may say [boastfully]; Wealth have I squandered in abundance!"— Yusuf Ali translation

"And a tongue, and a pair of lips?-"— Yusuf Ali translation

90:10وَهَدَيْنَٰهُ ٱلنَّجْدَيْنِ﴿١٠﴾
"And shown him the two highways?"— Yusuf Ali translation

90:11فَلَا ٱقْتَحَمَ ٱلْعَقَبَةَ﴿١١﴾
"But he hath made no haste on the path that is steep."— Yusuf Ali translation

90:12وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْعَقَبَةُ﴿١٢﴾
"And what will explain to thee the path that is steep?-"— Yusuf Ali translation

90:14أَوْ إِطْعَٰمٌۭ فِى يَوْمٍۢ ذِى مَسْغَبَةٍۢ﴿١٤﴾
"Or the giving of food in a day of privation"— Yusuf Ali translation

90:15يَتِيمًۭا ذَا مَقْرَبَةٍ﴿١٥﴾
"To the orphan with claims of relationship,"— Yusuf Ali translation

90:16أَوْ مِسْكِينًۭا ذَا مَتْرَبَةٍۢ﴿١٦﴾
"Or to the indigent [down] in the dust."— Yusuf Ali translation

90:17ثُمَّ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلصَّبْرِ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلْمَرْحَمَةِ﴿١٧﴾
"Then will he be of those who believe, and enjoin patience, [constancy, and self-restraint], and enjoin deeds of kindness and compassion."— Yusuf Ali translation

90:18أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ﴿١٨﴾
"Such are the Companions of the Right Hand."— Yusuf Ali translation

90:19وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا هُمْ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ﴿١٩﴾
"But those who reject Our Signs, they are the [unhappy] Companions of the Left Hand."— Yusuf Ali translation
